Most owners have a long list of tasks they would like to hand to AI and no way to pick one. Enter up to three processes, answer five questions each, and get a ranked list with a suggested first project. It pairs with our guide on what to automate first. If you want a second opinion, talk to Kuan AI.

How it works

  1. Name up to three processes you are thinking of automating.
  2. Enter the hours per week each one takes.
  3. Answer four questions: how rule-based it is, how clean the input is, what a mistake costs, and whether someone can review the output.
  4. Read the pick first, then the ranking and the reasons under each answer.

Scoring: hours give 1 point (under 2), 2 (2 to under 5), 3 (5 to under 10) or 4 (10 or more). The other four answers give 0, 2 or 4 points, so the maximum is 20. A process is marked WAIT if its data is messy, if it needs judgment each time, or if a mistake is costly and the output is not reviewed before it takes effect. The first READY process by score is recommended; ties go to more hours. To check whether the pick pays off, run it through the automation ROI calculator.

This is a rough filter built only on your own answers. It does not replace looking at the actual process.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a high-scoring process still get a WAIT label?

Score measures payoff and fit. WAIT flags a blocker: messy data, constant judgment, or costly mistakes with no review. Fix the blocker first, then it becomes a good candidate.

Should I automate the process that takes the most hours?

Not automatically. A big time sink with messy data or high risk often fails. A smaller, rule-based task with a human check is usually a safer first project.

What if all my processes are on hold?

Pick the top-scoring one and work on its blocker, such as standardising inputs or adding a review step. See the prioritization guide for more.
